Glossy Accents and Crackle Accents

Here are some examples of ways to use Ranger Glossy Accents and Crackle Accents.

Glossy Accents

Glossy accents add a glossy shine and dimension to areas where it is applied. Because it is thick and the bottle had a precision tip, you can use it draw on the Glossy accents like you might color in an image. When you first start applying your Glossy Accents, squeeze a small amount out onto a peice of scrap paper because most of the air bubbles occur at the beginning. If you take care not to tilt the tip back up you may not get any bubbles at all. If you do get a bubble, pop it with a sharp pin before the glossy accents dries. If the pin is not sharp, you'll chase the bubble all over your artwork.

Glossy Accents seems to brighten images colored with colored pencils. You can add as many coats as you like. The dimension you get when it's wet is greater than the dimension when it dries, so you need to wait for it to dry to assess whether another coat is needed.

Crackle Accents

Crackle accents has the same fine applicator tip as glossy accents but it is more commonly used in a larger area to make the entire surface of an object appear to have a crackled finish. It is a one-step crackle process. You won't notice any crackle until it begins to dry and the thicker the coat you apply the more you'll notice the crackle effect. Unlike most sealers that recommend several thin coats, this product should be put on in one coat. If you're worried about the paper dampening and curling while it dries, first apply a thin coat of Glossy accents and let it dry, then apply a thick coat of the Crackle Accents.
