Since our last newsletter, we've added quite a
few new images. Two are used in the section on Digital
art below. Here are some other new images.

Back in Stock
I promise it wasn't just us. The manufacturers of
these products have either had manufacturing complications
or shortages that prevented them from shipping these
products to anyone for months. The supply problems
seem to be fixed, or at least better and we are fully
stocked on these items

Memory Glass
Now in 1" squares, clear and frosted glass. The 1"
square frames have hooks on opposite ends so you can
hang them or link them together.
Digital Art - Is it
for you?
Mixing digital and traditional art techniques
Most of us who shop on
the Internet do lots of other things on the computer,
too. Technology can be frustrating and baffling and
for some of us our artwork and crafts are what we
do to get away from the computer. For others, the
thought of using the computer to enhance
artwork is exciting. Even if
you're a little averse to technology, if you use a
digital camera and have gotten pretty good at cropping
and brightening the photos you take, you might enjoy
using digital images more than you think you would.
Digital images come in
.jpg, or .png format, which can be read on PC or Mac.
I'm showing two examples of what can be done quickly
using photo editing software combined with stamping
techniques. For more information on how these were
created, just visit our digital images
page.
Used to make this
digital art embellished card:
Lost Coast
Stamp: Princess of Everything
Tim Holtz
Digital Distressables:
Alphas & Numbers
Ink Jet Shrink Plastic
German Foils
Ink Jet Printable
Transparencies
The card below requires
a little more know-how. The only stamped images are
the mannequins images from Lost Coast
Designs. For more information on how the background
paper was created, click here.

Please remember that
rubber stamps, even from angel companies, are protected
by copyright law, and most angel policies limit the
digital use of their images, so please respect angel
policies of the various rubber stamp manufacturers.
It is definitely not OK to copy images from manufacturer's
web sites or scan images from their catalogs to use
digitally if you have not purchased the stamp. Images
that are purchased digitally also have limitations.
The images we have for sale are from Design Originals,
and they seem to understand that many of us crafters
like to sell our work to help offset the cost of supplies
so long as you aren't mass producing items for sale.

German Foils - Embossed Foiled Paper
We've also started adding these to our inventory.
They're a neat way to add metallic embellishments
that are inexpensive and lightweight.
