MICRO MARBLE / MICRO BEAD TECHNIQUES
Red Liner Tape or Terrifically Tacky Tape

Creating a straight border with red liner tape

Apply a border with a red liner tape roll on your card stock. Remove the protective paper/plastic if there is any. Pour tiny marbles over tape and press into tape. Pour run-off back into storage bag/bottle through a funnel. If you're using larger marbles (1mm or 2mm) or a bead mix with sead beads or bugle beads, it helps to heat the tape with a heat gun before or after applying the beads. This isn't needed for the .5 mm Micro Marbles.

Creating a detailed marbled border

Punch a shape or border into your card stock and back with single sided or double sided tape. Pour tiny marbles into the punched areas to adhere to the tape backing.

Terrifically Tacky Tape Sheet:

These sheets of double-sided adhesive are protected with plastic coated paper, rather than just plastic. This makes it possible to use the sheets with punches. One side of the protection paper can be drawn on or stamped on. The adhesive is also heat resistant and can be used with embossing powders.

Click here for our Red Liner Tape shopping page where you'll also find Terrifically tacky tape.

Cut shapes or punch shapes out of your double-sided sheets. Remove backing from one side and adhere to card stock or artwork. Remove the second backing and pour Micro Marbles directly over the adhesive shape.

Try combining Micro Marbles and embossing powder by sprinkling the adhesive shape with just a few marbles and filling in the gaps with embossing powder and heat.

Use a piece of double-sided adhesive to cover a stamped image with the larger clear Micro Marbles. This refracts the image through the marbles, providing dimension and unusual distortion.

Cover part of an image with Micro Marbles by stamping your image on your card stock and also stamping onto the stampable side (the darker side) of the protective paper. Cut out the portion you want to cover with an exacto knife. Pull off the non-stampable side and adhere to the stamped image. Remove the other backing and pour marbles directly over double-sided tape.
