PERFECT PEARLS TUTORIAL

Shop for Perfect Pearls and Perfect Medium

Stamp an image with Pefect Medium ink (available clear or black). Use the small brush provided with the collections to brush powder over the stamped image (image 1 below). Use the larger soft brush to brush excess off paper (image 2 below). Perfect Pearls powders contain a binder that prevents smudging that Pearl Ex and other metallic powders do not have. There may still be some very slight transfer of powder if the image is rubbed. The possibility of transfer lessens after the ink has cured for an hour or more.

The samples to the right illustrate the different effects a single color of Perfect Pearls Powder can have depending on the color of paper and the color of Perfect Medium used.

Once an image is colored with Perfect Pearls powders, an image can be stamped using the clear Perfect Medium to remove color from the original image.

  Perfect Pearls Technique 2

One of our customers showed us another fantastic way to use to Perfect Pearls. This method may require protecting the artwork with spray fixative afterward but the results are very striking. To create a raised look with Perfect pearls emboss an image using clear embossing ink and clear embossing powder. Brush the Perfect medium stamp pad over the high points of the embossed image, taking care not to ink the paper. Brush Perfect Pearls over the embosed image. The example below was created with velum paper and several colors of Perfect Pearls. Thanks Carolyn!
