Scotch ATG Tools and Tape Refills

This is the adhesive transfer gun used by art framers. If you're a serious crafter, the initial cost of the gun will be returned to you in the savings in tape over time. You'll also find this gun easier to use the more you work with it and soon it will be a tool you can't believe you lived without. The tape holds as well as JudiKins, much better than most crafting tape runners. This is why this has become my adhesive tool of choice! Because of the cost, I spent several months testing this product to decide whether I should carry and recommend it.

The tape is clear. The one with the gold protective liner is acid free and costs a little more than the tape with the red protective liner. The tape with the red liner seems a little stronger, as well, so that's the one I use for most crafting. For special scrapbook projects, I use the gold.

ATG 714 Red Gun - Uses 1/4" tape - This is the gun I use because 1/4" is sufficient for card making, scrapbooking and most altered art projects. The narrower tape also costs less to replace.

Trio by JudiKins

This is another tape that is strong and very inexpensive in the long run. This used to be my tape of choice but after learning to use this and the ATG, I found the ATG easier. Both take a little time to get used to. I also found that the tape sometimes gets stuck to the wrong side of the liner, especially on the replacement rolls, and requires opening up the case from time to time. I get impatient when I'm trying to be creative and have to spend futzing with adhesives. I still use this when I need 1/2" tape.

Therm O Web Vellum Adhesive

This is the first vellum tape I've found in a nice applicator that actually works. You really can't see the tape through even the lightest weight vellum. It even works with acetate.

Dotto by Hermafix

Roll on adhesive glue dots. Both the dispenser and refills contain 49 feet of adhesive. We sell the permanent version of this adhesive rather than the repositional. You may be able to repostion an item before you've really pressed the adhesive on. The adhesive is pressure sensitive.

Mono Tape Roller Tombow Tape Roller Refill

Mono Tape Roller by Tombow

This adhesive rolls on in as pressure is applied and has an adhesive much like that in a Xyron machine. It isn't at all like the hand held Xyron adhesive dispenser, which we tested and found to be too frustrating to bother selling. In comparison with the dotto we found this to be a better value per foot of tape and much easier to refill. Both have similar hold.

Tombow Mono Power Bond
This runner is not refillable. It contains 23' of 1/3" wide adhesive. This adhesive is stronger than the regular mono adhesives and is good for cardstock and heavier papers that often don't adhere as well as they could with other tape runners.
