x 5 1/2". Thickness and Construction:These are biaxially oriented Polypropylene with 1.6 mil wall thickness. Mailing through USPS:This is the perfect choice for mailing your A2 Cards through the post office. These clear envelopes, so long as the flap is on the long side of the mail-piece, are approved by USPS for mailing up to 13 ounces through first-class mail . Be sure to use self-adhesive postage stamps. You can affix a mailing label to the outside or slide the mailing address on a peice of paper inside the envelope to viewed through the plastic. These are considered non-machinable and have to be hand-canceled. No specific notation is needed on the outside of the envelope but add 20¢ extra postage in addition to a regular letter postage. This extra charge does not apply if the weight is over 1 ounce, then regular postage rates include the non-machinable surcharge. Archival Safe:These are made from 100% virgin polypropylene which is naturally acid and lignin-free.
