Built-in applicator brush, add instant aging to art projects. Thicker coats have deeper cracks, further apart. Paint remains flexible when dry so it doesn't chip off. Available in 24 opaque colors, 3 metallics and one clear crackle paint. Coordinates with the fabulous palette of 24 Distress Inks and Distress Embossing Powders. Note: Metallic Crackle Paints take 2-3 times longer to dry than non-metallic versions. Do not use a craft heat tool to speed drying as it will cause the paint to bubble.

Using
Distress Crackle Paint
In
truth, I was hoping the crackle effect would be more pronounced. There seem
to be tradeoffs when simplifying the process to a single step. You also don't
get a nice variation in color between the paint and crackle because there is
no base color showing through. I found that I could fake that look by starting
with a light color of paint and rubbing in a little ink from my dye ink pads
in the cracks, then wiping some of the ink off the paint. Tim Holtz also demonstrates
