Dye based inks are semi-transparent and don't show up well on dark paper. There are 40 different colors available both in full size ink pads and the Ancient Page PetalPoint Pads. The petals in the petal points don't touch, to prevent contamination of the colors. This prevents the petal point pad from being a rainbow pad that can be used to stamp a multi-color image but each petal can be removed to use individually to ink a stamp in different colors. The foam type is different from the skin foam technology. The Ancient Page ink pads use the Clearsnap skin-foam technology, the same that is used on their fluid chalk ink pads. This foam pad is unique and tends to provide a high ink concentration on your rubber stamp. Gourd artists use the reinkers to paint striking colors on their artwork.
