TO QUALIFY:
You must be subscribed to our E-mail newsletter as that
is where we'll be announcing the winners. Artwork can
be a card, ATC, altered item, hand made book or booklet.
Artwork cannot use stamps that we don't carry. Only
10% of the area of the piece may be covered by photographic
or printed ephemera like patterned paper, magazine photos,
transparencies or rubons (this is a contest of your
stamping artistry!).
SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES:
Visit our art
gallery, upload a photograph of your artwork to
the *Contest Entries* category. Please only upload one
photograph per entered item (500 x 500 pixel maxium
please) which can contain more than one view in it but
don't go too crazy or no one will be able to see your
item. Once we review each entry to make make sure it
qualifies for the contest, your entry can be viewed
in the contest catagory of our gallery.
You may also mail in your entries if
you prefer. I'm sorry, we cannot return your entries
to you. We'll use them as displays in the store or at
conventions. We also can't be responsible for any items
lost by the post office. Please do not send items through
the post office with a signature required, but delivery
confirmation is quite welcome. If you want to send something
with a signature required, please use UPS. Be sure to
include your name and E-mail address and title of your
artwork. Mail to: Blockheads / Contest Entry, 4 Weed
Road, Suite 1, Latham, NY 12110.
DEADLINES:
The last day to upload your contest entries will be
February 28th, 2007 at midnight EST. All mailed in entries
must also be received by that date, so be sure to mail
them early. Voting will be announced in the newsletter
with a cutoff period 3-4 days after the newsletter is
sent.
JUDGING:
All subscribers of our E-mail newsletter will be asked
to vote. They will be asked to vote for their single
favorite based on stamping technique, and overall composition.
The votes will be tallied by March 7th. Votes coming
from non-suscribers won't be counted. Duplicate voting
won't be counted.
COPYRIGHTS AND USE AGREEMENT:
By uploading or mailing in a contest
entry, you are agreeing to allow us to use that entry
to promote our products. We may use it on our web site,
in our store or use it in advertisments. You are still
able to use your artwork or images of your artwork in
any way that you like.
* To qualify stamps used must currently
be pictured on our site in any of the categories listed
at http://www.blockheadstamps.com/sheets.html. If a
stamp is marked out-of-stock, it still qualifies for
use in the contest.
