Dark Purple Tulpis - French ScrollDark Purple Tulpis - French Scroll

Author : Stacey Dunning

This card was created using the Tulip flower stamp from our Flowers stamp set and the French Scroll Punch Around the Page set from Martha Stewart.  This is an A2 Card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").  The black cardstock was cut to 5" x 3 1/2" and punched using the corner and border punches according to the instructions on the packaging.  The light purple mat was cut to be 5 1/4" x 3 3/4".

The black cardstock was masked around the edges using strips of masking tape so that when I stamped onto the cardstock, the ink didn't get into the scrollwork.  I used a Brilliance Galaxy gold ink pad and then colored the image with colored pencils.  I used white pencil  on the stems and some of the leaves and the bottoms and edges of the tulip leaves, before coloring with green and purple pencils.
