This technique makes a flexible ATC card covered in micro marbles, in which the stamped images beneath are easily visible.
Items needed for this technique:
Painted Butterflies Stamp Set
Red Liner Tape Sheet
Clear Micro Marbles
Yellow Glass Micro Marbles
Gold Micro Marbles
Clear Glass Sand
Tidy Tray or other container to catch marbles as you pour them.
1) Stamp your images on your ATC. The type of ink used here is not that important. I used Memento Tuxedo black and various colors VersaMagic.
2) Cut a peice of red liner tape 2.5" x 3.5". Remove the white liner from the tape and apply the exposed tape over the top of the stamped images. This tape can't be removed and reposistioned so take care to position it properly before applying
3) You should be able to see your stamped images through the remaining reddish protective liner. Cut away the liner from the wings of the butter fly. This should be two separate peices. Removed the red liner from the wings
4) Pour yellow clear glass micro marbles over the exposed tape, making sure coverage is complete. If you touched the tape, body oils may prevent the marbles from sticking, intially. Just pour more over and press them in before shaking off the excess. Return the excess marbles to your vial.
5) Remove the rest of red liner, exposing tape over the rest of the ATC. Add embellishments. I sprinkled gold and clear micro marbles in areas and added swarovski crystals.
6) Make sure your tidy tray or container you use to catch excess marbles with is clean. Pour clear sand over the ATC. This is an important step to fill in all the gaps between marbles and cover the remaining tape. Return the excess sand to your vial or bag.
That's all there is to it. With the materials nearby you should be able to complete this project in about 10 minutes.
