Calendula Slide MailerCalendula Slide Mailer

Author : Stacey Dunning

This card uses stamps from our Flowers Series, which can be found on our page of Blockheads Rubber Sheets.

This is one examble of an altered microscope slide mailer. The exterior was covered in green paper and the interior was covered with an ivory card stock, with holes cut to make room for the slide windows. The slide windows were painted using a gold krylon paint marker. The calendula stamps are from our Flowers sheet. The larger flower image was stamped using the amber clay ColorBox Chalk ink pad and colored using colored pencils. The microscope slides were stamped in black StazOn ink and colored with Adirondack Pigment Pens. The slide was stamped on one side, heated and then colored on the other and heated. The Adirondack pens work great on glass but are not fully permanent, even when heat set, you can set them with a fixative or use sharpie permanent markers.
