This whimsical necklace was made using Blockheads bold butterfly from The Essential Elements half sheet and glitter. Photo submitted by Evelyn Duncan
I created this wearable glitter art by stamping the bold butterfly image 3 times with Versamark ink and heat embossing with embossing powder. I then used glue and various shades of glitter to create the three sparkly butterflies. Once the glue was dry, I cut each butterfly out then inserted one eyelet on each wing and used jewelry findings to finish the necklace off. Even though this is paper jewelry - The cardstock I used was a heavy black cardstock then with the addition of the embossing powder, glue and glitter the finished butterflies do have a bit of substance to them. The eyelets also add a bit of strength to the piece so it is very wearable without the fear that if will fall apart or rip easily.
