Adirondack Color Washes come in 2 ounce spray bottles. The colors are pretty intense. More often than not, I'd like a subtler color, so I always keep an empty Mini Mister spritz bottle near by. I spray a little of the Color Wash into the mister and fill the rest with water. I generally just empty out what I don't use and rinse the bottle for the next use. There is usually not a lot of ink used to create the diluted spray.
I colored three white Color Me Crazy paper flowers as examples to show what the diluted colors look like. The flower on the left was spritzed 4 times with full strength Lettuce Adirondack Color Wash. To create the middle flower I sprayed the Color Wash 3 times into the Mini Mister and filled the rest with water and spritzed the flower 4 times. To create the flower on the right, I used just a single spray of Color Wash in my Mini Mister and filled the rest with water. When changing the formula in the Mini Mister, be sure to spritz 2-3 times to get the old formula out. I completely rinse and spritz clear water between colors, but there is no reason you can't mix colors if you want a color between two that are available. Now I have 3 mono-chromatic flowers that look great together!
