This ATC was created using 2 separate stamp designs by Blockhead Rubber Stamps, using the masking technique. This process allows you to create overlapping images where you stamp the items closest to the foreground first and then mask off each successive image before stamping the next image until you reach your furthest background image last. (I stamped a mask for the small square garden scene using Eclipse Masking Tape and trimmed them close to stamped edges)

I first stamped the small square garden scene from the Chinese Traditional Full Sheet 2 CT1004. Once the ink had dried I masked the square off and then stamped the border design from Backgrounds Borders Full Sheet 1 BB1001 twice. Before I removed the mask of the square garden scene I traced around it with a black marker for added emphasis. After removing the mask I colored the ATC with a combination of pastel pencils, decorative chalk and markers. All stamps by Blockheads masking medium was Eclipse Masking Tape - stamping ink was Versafine in Onyx Black
