Flower MedallionFlower Medallion

Author : Stacey Dunning

I created this card with the Blockheads flower medallion stamp set

For the dark purple frames, I used Kraft Core'dinations paper from the nostalgic collection and sanded it to bring out the brown craft look.  The background paper was created using plain White Neenah Classic Crest - Solar White.

The background papers were created using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Background.  A video of that process can be viewed here: Tim Holtz Distress Ink Background Video.  The Distress Ink Pad colors I used were milled lavender, peeled paint and concord grape.  On the lighter backgrounds (the square and 3 small circles) I also applied antique linen distress stickles in a thin layer.  I also stampled the medium flower from the stamp set randomly on the largest peice in Dusty Concord.  The other flowers were stamped in Memento Tuxedo black and I applied Marvy Le Plume Permanent Markers to add color to the images.
