This stamp was fiddley to mask. I used Blockheads Retro Bold squares to begin, stamping them with Stazon midnight blue. I then masked the larger squares with post-it notes and stamped Blockheads Nature-Leaves stamp within the squares with Stazon Saddle brown. Whilst still masked I brushed shimmer brown chalks over the leaves. I then removed that mask and placed other masks over each individual square and stamped saddle brown leaves for the background. BUT...I noticed the centre squares lacked definition so... I did a very tricky bit! I put the original mask onto the retro stamp and re-inked only the centre squares. Finally lowering the stamp, with mask still attached, back onto my ATC... Thankfully it registered correctly and the middle blue squares became bold again. It definitely pays to think ahead when masking! Photo submitted by Natalie WHITE
