Domino Art Jewelry set stamped using the small square Asian garden image from Blockhead Rubber Stamps plate titled - Chinese Traditional Full Unmounted Sheet #2. Photo submitted by Evelyn Kennedy Duncan
I love to create wearable art using rubber stamps and dominos of all kinds and sizes. I created the jewelry pieces for Tranquil Garden by stamping the small square Asian garden image from Blockhead Rubber Stamps plate titled - Chinese Traditional Full Unmounted Sheet #2, onto pre-drilled mini dominos and then coloring the images with permanent markers. The necklace was stamped on a Chekit domino game tile. The mini dominos measure about 1 1/4" x 1/2", so to get to take advantage of the entire scene on the rubber stamp I stamped half of the image on alternating domino beads to make one continuous water garden scene on the bracelet. For the earrings I used more of the central part of the stamp and for the necklace I was able to get almost all of the image on the Chekit tile. Staz On black ink was used to stamp the image onto the dominos and I used a combination of Adirondack, Sharpie and Zig permanent markers to do the coloring.
