Yin-YangYin-Yang

by Leigh S-B
THE SHARPIE DOMINO QUEEN

I enjoy designing cards that are different so for this one I created a tri-panel with a velcro closure. I used a Blockhead rubber stamp of an Asian circle design in two sizes stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink on white cardstock and coloured with Copic markers. I cut away a portion of each corner and then cut the panel in half. I then edged the stamped panels with a gold metallic paint pen. Based on the size of the larger circle image I was then able to determine the size of the tri-panel card which I made from gold cardstock.

I covered the whole of the card interior with red lightweight cardstock that coordinated with the red I used in the stamped designs. Then adhered the stamped panels to the front of the card. I cut out the smaller circle image, edged it in gold and adhered the left side to the front left panel and embellished the center circle with a Yin-Yang metal coin charm. The charm has a hole at the top so I attached the coin to the card with a gold dragonfly brad. I then added a touch of Sparkle glitter to the flowers and then adhered the red Chinese tassel. I finished off by adding a white self-adhesive velcro dot to the back of the overlapping circle as the closure for the card. www.VelvetPawCreations.com www.LeighSBDesigns.blogspot.com
