This card uses the Potted Tulip, Blossom, Small Blossom and the flourished crown stamps from the Victorian Eccentricities stamp sheet. The tarnished silver was created using Aluminum Foil Tape Sheets, the textile Cuttlebug folder, and Pitch Black and Snow Cap Alcohol Inks with the Ink Blending Tool. See steps below. We also used Spellbinders Labels 16 to cut the small 1" detais from the metal and the Violet, Bottle Green and Yellow Marvy Le Plume Permanent Marker Sets and some drops of Liquid Pearls in Opal White.
Creating the metal backgrounds was very simple. I squirted some black alcohol ink on my alchol ink applicator with a couple drops of snow white and just dabbed it all over the metal. This was one of the easiest foolproof uses of alcohol ink I've ever done. It's a good starter project if you're new to alcohol inks. Next I removed the adhesive backing and applied the metal a piece of scrap cardstock and ran it through the cuttlebug with the Textile embossing folder. I sanded the color off the raised areas of the metal and used my paper trimmer to cut the size I wanted for the background. I was then able to cut out shapes using the spellbinders dies in the cuttlebug machine. It flattened the pattern somewhat, but not noticably since the sanding left the pattern revealed.
