Detailed instructions for creating a detailed custom ink pad are included in the packaging. By stamping the image on a piece of Cut n' Dry ink pad in permanent ink and letting it dry you have a template for inking the ink pad. You'll be able to stamp a full color image again and again. This technique works best with unmounted stamps on acrylic mounts. You can see through the mount for accurate placement of the stamp onto the ink pad you create.

Use the felt pad for dye inks like Ranger Adirondacks including ColorBox Chalks. Use foam pad for pigment and solvent inks like ColorBox pigment ink and StazOn ink.

Instructions on the package suggest using a dropper but you can just squeeze the ink right from your reinker bottles onto the pad. Both types of pad are backed with moisture resistant foam core to prevent the ink from seeping through the pad. Store your custom ink pad in a reclosable baggie to use again! It may just need some minor touch up with reinkers.

Tip: If you're trying to keep dye inks in a very small area on a felt pad, outline the area before inking with a clear pigment ink such as an untinted Top Boss reinker.
