Customer Review: Both brands come in various sizes. I have small, medium & large in the Royal Langnickel Aqua Flow and the Niji brushes are comparable to their small and medium. They all hold about the same amount of water in the barrel. The brushes of the Aqua Flow are longer. In my opinion, Niji holds the paint/watercolor better and longer. I was able to get more coverage with the Niji. Niji is a little more difficult to fill; I found it best to remove the cap-like insert that regulates the direction of flow - not a problem, just an extra step. If you are filling with water you can just submerge the brush into the water with the tip slightly higer than the end and squeeze a few times. The are is pushed out while the water is sucked in. The Aqua
flows do not seem to have as good of directional flow regulation.
Perhaps that affects why this brand does not hold as well. At
one point, my watercolor was sucked into the barrel, not a good
thing! Niji is a superior product. In fairness, I used the Aqua
Flow for the bleach technique, and I got excellent results.
