BLOCKHEADS REVIEW
Stamp Positioners

Each of the stamp positioners we carry are good for different things. The ColorBox tool is probably better for lining up multiple small images to make frames and borders. We find it doesn't really have the height to easily postion stamps exactly in the corner of an L or T formation as you'd need for perfect stamp positioning. And it also doesn't come with a stampable clear imaging sheet, like the Stamp-a-ma-jig does. The Stamp-a-ma-jig is is limited in length and doesn't have measurements so it's not great for long borders you might want to make on a scrapbook page, but it's better for trying to exactly position an image, restamp an image that didn't stamp completely or overlay images.

stamp-a-ma-jig stamp positioner

Stamp-a-ma-jig Stamp Positioner from EK Success

This non-slip placement tool with enclosed imaging sheet allows rubber stamps to be positioned and kept in place. Put the corner of clear imaging sheet into the corner of the Stamp-a-ma-jig stamp your image on the clear imaging sheet by making sure your wood or acrylic mount is settled into the corner of the positioner. Make sure you're not using an ink that will be permanent on the acrylic like StazOn or Palettes. Adirondacks, Distress and Pigment inks work great for this.

Move the clear imaging sheet and positioner so that the image is showing exactly where you'll want to stamp your image. Remove the clear imaging sheet from the page, hold the positioner down lightly with one had and stamp your image, taking care to make sure your stamp is positioned into the corner of the positioner exactly as it was when you stamped onto the clear imaging sheet. Wipe the ink off the imaging sheet.
